With so many islands, choosing the best cycling route in the Philippines can be tough. Our 13-day adventure in the Visayas is the perfect answer. We’ll cycle through four islands, traveling on paved roads, through jungles, highlands, and along beautiful coastlines. Along the way, we’ll stop at cultural sites, natural wonders, and stay at lovely accommodations.
We start in Cebu City and take a boat to Bohol. For the first three days, we’ll explore forests to see tarsiers, visit the Chocolate Hills, and climb the Sierra Bullones highlands. After resting near Anda’s beaches, we’ll find hidden waterfalls, ride along the coast, and visit a Spanish coral stone church. On Day 8, we ferry to Siquijor, known for its natural beauty and mysticism. We’ll stay three nights at a beach resort, exploring coasts, jungles, and villages. From Siquijor, we’ll ferry to Cebu, cycling to Moalboal to swim with sardines. Our final ride takes us through mountains before ending back in Cebu City.
They say “It’s more fun in the Philippines” – we say it’s even more fun on a bike! Join us and see for yourself.

Welcome to Cebu, the “Queen City of the South”! We’ll pick you up from Mactan International Airport and take you to our tour hotel. In the evening, we’ll have a meeting and a welcome dinner.
If you arrive early, explore Cebu’s historic sites like churches and a fort. Cebu is the Philippines’ second largest city, known for its busy markets and delicious local food! -

In the early morning, we head to the pier to catch a ferry to Bohol Island. Watch Cebu’s cityscape fade into the ocean. After a two-hour ride, we arrive in Tagbilaran and meet our support vehicle, a traditional Filipino ‘jeepney.’ We transfer a short distance for lunch and bike fitting.
Today’s ride is a gentle 30 km through the Visayas countryside. After 12 km, we stop at a Tarsier Sanctuary. With the help of a guide, we’ll look for these tiny creatures in the forest. Sightings are likely but not guaranteed, as they are wild animals.
We continue cycling through rural Bohol, tackling some hills before enjoying a downhill ride to the beautiful Loboc River. At our riverside resort, you can go kayaking, get a massage, or relax by the pool (additional activities are at your own expense).

Today’s ride in Bohol’s interior involves gradual climbs, offering stunning scenery worth the effort. We stop at a gorge viewpoint, where you can try a zip line or cable car (extra cost). Cycling through the Bilar Man-Made Forest, we reach the famous Chocolate Hills, known for their unique landscape. After the ride, we drive to a hilltop for lunch and panoramic views, staying overnight at a nearby guesthouse in Carmen.

Today, we ride from Sierra Bullones highlands to coastal Anda. Starting with a 15 km flat road through farmlands, we then tackle a 17 km uphill to reach the summit at 790 m above sea level. A thrilling 20 km descent follows, passing villages with mountain views. After lunch in Jagna, we continue 30 km to Anda, enjoying coastal scenery along the way. Our ride ends at a cozy resort with views of the Pacific Ocean.

Today, you have the freedom to relax or discover Bohol’s coastline at your pace. Just a short distance away is the white sands of Anda beach, perfect for a day of relaxation. You can also choose to snorkel or scuba dive in the stunning coral reefs. Another option is a visit to Lamanoc Island, known for its ancient cave paintings and mangrove forests. These extra activities are at your own cost.

Today, we’re back on our bikes to explore Bohol. We start with a short jeepney ride, then cycle through daily life scenes in Visayas. After a few climbs, we have a picnic lunch by the Malinao Reservoir. A quick jeepney ride takes us to Bilar for more cycling through the countryside. We’ll have fun downhill rides to the coast and visit a beautiful waterfall for a refreshing dip. Finally, we’ll cycle to our accommodation on the rocky shores of Dimiao.

Get set for an exciting day of coastal cycling. Starting from Dimiao, we head west, passing charming fishing villages and coastal towns. After 30 km, we arrive at Baclayon, known for one of the oldest coral stone Catholic churches in the Philippines. The church’s aged yet well-maintained facade and interior offer a glimpse into the country’s Spanish colonial past and strong Christian heritage.
We’ll explore the church grounds before riding 5 km to a bridge linking the mainland to Panglao Island. The rest of the route takes us around Panglao, with varied terrain of rural, residential, and semi-urban areas. After 50 km, we stop for a tasty lunch overlooking the Bohol Sea. Continuing on, we reach Alona Beach, famous for its

Siquijor is known for its beautiful beaches, hills, and mystical culture. Despite its magical reputation, the locals are friendly. After lunch, we cycle 25 km to our beach resort where we’ll stay for three nights. Enjoy your time exploring Siquijor’s beauty and charm! Let me know if you need more assistance.

Embark on a thrilling island adventure today in Siquijor! Cycle the 86 km coastal road filled with ups, downs, and scenic views. Visit the ancient “Enchanted Balete Tree” with a natural foot spa. Have a local lunch before heading back to the resort, passing by ocean views and fish markets. Enjoy your Siquijor exploration!

Today, we explore Siquijor’s lush highlands by starting our journey at Mount Bandilaan National Park. A 45-minute jeepney ride takes us to the park’s peak, allowing us to enjoy stunning panoramic views of the rainforest canopy. We then embark on a thrilling 10 km downhill bike ride through the park’s southern slopes, stopping at Cambugahay Waterfalls for a potential refreshing dip. Afterward, we can have lunch at a local eatery. The afternoon offers flexibility – you can either cycle back to the resort along a 20 km route or return in the jeepney for some beach relaxation. 11 April 2025 ★★★★★Was a great experience for my family even though it was a short trip. Thailand went beyond our expectations. From the vibrant street life in Bangkok to the peaceful temples and delicious local food, every moment was memorable. The tour agent did a great job organizing the itinerary, and our guide was always attentive and helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this destination and tour service to my friends.

Our guide, Mr. Sato, was truly outstanding—patient, knowledgeable, and always attentive to our needs. 3 April 2025 ★★★★★We spent a few days in Taipei and Jiufen over the weekend. Unfortunately, the weather in Jiufen wasn’t the best-quite misty and rainy—but we still enjoyed shopping, relaxing at the hot springs, and trying the local street food. The high-speed train ride was very comfortable. Would love to return to Jiufen again one day!

13 March 2025 ★★★★★Stephen from Travel Asia Co.nz was recommended by my friend, and she planned our 6D5N private tour for 8 of us perfectly. Everything was smooth—from hotel check-ins arranged for quick showers before/after the train, to splitting our group for day trips (5 to Ayutthaya, 3 to the floating market). Even our luggage was delivered to the next hotel-amazing service! Chiang Mai was a highlight with stunning views, Doi Suthep, hill tribe visits, and the elephant sanctuary. Our guide Yeow was friendly, caring, and very experienced. In Bangkok and Ayutthaya, we enjoyed a peaceful boat ride and a climb at Wat Phu Khao Thong—big thanks to David for guiding us safely. It was a well-organized, memorable trip. Great job, Wendy and team!

6 February 2025 ★★★★★We booked a very last-minute trip to Thailand for two families with young kids, and Travel Asia Co.nz made it all happen smoothly. Wendy was super responsive - she quickly proposed a flexible itinerary covering everything from transport and meals to tickets and timing. She even checked in with us daily to make sure we were happy. Our guide, Stephen, was an absolute gem-mature, caring, and great with the kids.
