Hue welcomes you to explore the city as its prior capital of Vietnam throughout this full day. During the 17th century the Nguyen Dynasty founded Hue before creating their collection of temples along with palaces followed by tombs that(together) became known as a big museum. To discover Hue on your own terms visitors can follow their own paths or decide between spending additional money to appreciate Hoi An’s architectural masterpieces in Danang followed by a cable car lift to the Ba Na Hills’ famous Cau Vang Golden Bridge.
-

Following your tour of Hue, you will spend the day at sea, maybe enjoying some of the onboard cuisine. There are several options available, including the international cuisine selections at The Retreat guests’ Luminae, the AquaClass Blu, and the always shifting modern menu of the flagship Gran Epernay Restaurant. You have two full days to explore Bangkok when you first arrive in Thailand. One of the oldest and liveliest towns in Asia, it combines traditional marketplaces, historic temples, and contemporary architecture with a thriving nightlife. Alternatively, you may supplement your trip with extras such as a tuk-tuk tour or led visits to landmarks like the Grand Palace.
-
15
You might want to include a guided tour of old Bangkok on your itinerary for your second day in Bangkok so that you can focus on the temples. This includes trips to Wat Po’s reclining Buddha, Wat Suthat’s famed Big Buddha, and the Wat Ratchanadda temple. Alternatively, before returning to your ship for an early evening departure, enjoy the multitude of street food options or explore Pratunam Market, the city’s largest clothing market.

3 April 2025 ★★★★★We spent a few days in Taipei and Jiufen over the weekend. Unfortunately, the weather in Jiufen wasn’t the best-quite misty and rainy—but we still enjoyed shopping, relaxing at the hot springs, and trying the local street food. The high-speed train ride was very comfortable. Would love to return to Jiufen again one day!
